Hair care is not a weekend job. You need to spend few minutes regulary to take care of your hair. A regular care will make your hair healthy and shiny.
After washing your hair with shampoo, follow up with a gentle conditioner. Conditioner makes your hair smooth and easily manageable.
Your hair also needs a balanced healthy diet just like your body. Include protein rich foods like eggs, chicken, lean meat, fish, soy products etc. in your diet. Fatty acids also help to retain your hair in good health. Add small amounts of wallnuts, almonds and flaxseed oil in your daily diet. Fish is also a great source of fatty acids. You can make your hair healthy and shiny by taking vitamin B, especially vitamin B6 and B12 supplements. Fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods are rich in vitamin B. A multiple vitamin capsule after breakfast on regular basis may be a good option. You should consult with your doctor before going for it. Make sure you drink atleast 8 to 12 glasses of water daily. Drinking water maintains the blood supply in your scalp and helps to improve the health of your hair overall.
Never apply extreme hot or cold water to wash your hair
Make sure not to apply extreme hot or cold water to wash your hair. This will damage the health of your hair. Instead, use lukewarm water to wash your hair.
Use mild shampoo to wash your hair
Avoid detergent based commercial shampoo to wash your hair. Instead, go for a suitable mild shampoo. Try to apply shampoo in little quantity on every alternate day or atleast on weekends.
Follow up with a conditioner
Avoid brushing wet hair immediately after bath
Brushing wet hair damages the hair tissues and this will lead to hair fall at an early age. Apply fingers to manage your wet hair. You can however use a wide-toothed comb gently on your wet hair.
Say no to hair dryer or blow dryer
Never apply hair dryer or blow dryer on to your hair. It absorbs moisture from your hair and makes your hair dry.
Trim your hair once in every two months
Trim your hair once in every two months. It helps to avoid the unwanted split ends.
Never pull back your hair tightly
Make sure not to pull back your hair tightly. Avoid rubber band as it can pull your hair tightly which may cause damages to your hair.
Cover your hair while going outdoors
Cover your hair while going out in the sun. Otherwise, harmful rays from sun may cause serious damages to your hair. If you like swim, make sure to cover your head with a swimmig cap to prevent your hair getting in contact with the harmful chlorine in the swimming pul or salt in the sea.
Apply hair oil at night
Do not forget to apply hair oil at night regularly, before going to sleep. Massage your head with a suitable hair oil to improve the blood circulation in your scalp. A regular massage with hair oil also helps to keep the moisture of your hair.
